Shipping & Returns

Shipping

  • Standard shipping cost is calculated at checkout.

  • Products are shipped in 100% recycled boxes and tissue paper.

  • Shipping fees are non-refundable. Return shipping is always the customer’s responsibility; prepaid labels are not provided.

 

Returns & Exchanges – Overview

  • Return Request Window: 14 days from receipt of your item.

  • Processing & Inspection: 2–3 business days after we receive the return.

  • Refund Timing: Refunds will be issued to your original payment method within 5–7 business days of processing.

  • Ready-to-Wear / Standard-size Made-to-Order (MTO) Items: Eligible for return if in perfect, unworn condition. This includes standardized MTO pieces like the Ipsos blouse, Requiem Kimono, and standard-size corsets based on our core house measurement chart.

  • Made-to-Order / Custom / Couture / Altered Items: Final sale. Items modified to fit unique measurements cannot be returned and are not eligible for exchanges.

  • Exchanges: Clients may communicate directly at fern@fernnewyork.com to exchange for the right size or another style for eligible items. No exchanges are allowed for custom or couture pieces.

  • Gift Items: Purchases made as gifts are subject to the same 14-day return policy.

  • Split Returns: Customers may return some items from a multi-item order.

Step-by-Step Return Instructions

  1. Email fern@ fernnewyork.com within 14 days of receiving your item to request a return. Include your order number and reason for return.

  2. Package the item securely in its original packaging, including all tags, accessories, and original materials.

  3. Ship the package back to us. Customers are responsible for return shipping costs.

  4. Once received, your return will be processed and inspected within 2–3 business days.

  5. Refunds will be issued to your original payment method within 5–7 business days of processing.

Conditions for Returns

  • Items must be unworn, unwashed, and in perfect condition.

  • Lingerie must be tried on over your own undergarments; items worn directly on the skin cannot be accepted.

  • Opened packs of hosiery, damaged, altered, or personalized items (e.g., monogrammed) cannot be returned.

  • No partial refunds or partial damage returns.

Non-returnable / Final Sale Items

  • Custom couture or commissioned pieces

  • Hemmed or fitted garments

  • Personalized or monogrammed items

  • Beauty products

  • Face masks

  • Any other item marked as final sale

International Orders

 

  • Customers are responsible for all customs duties, taxes, and shipping costs for international returns.

Payment & Currency


FERN New York is based in the United States. All prices are in USD ($).
We accept PayPal, American Express, Apple Pay, Discover, Mastercard, and Visa. International conversion rates may apply.

Order Processing & Shipping

  • Orders can take 4–5 business days for domestic processing before shipment, and 7–21 business days for international processing (estimated).

  • All purchases are insured; responsibility for loss or damage during shipping falls on the mail carrier.

  • Tracking updates are provided as soon as your package is scanned by the carrier. FERN is not responsible for delays once the package is in transit.

  • Domestic Shipping: Packages shipped via USPS Priority Mail (2–3 business days) unless notified otherwise.

  • International Shipping: Customers are responsible for all customs duties, taxes, and shipping fees. Delivery times are estimates and may be delayed by local customs inspections.

Multiple Item Orders

  • If an order contains both ready-to-wear (RTW) and made-to-order (MTO) items, the RTW item will ship first, separately. The MTO item will ship separately once completed.

  • Each order is carefully inspected and packaged with care to ensure a flawless presentation.

 

Address Changes & Cancellations

  • If you need to update your shipping address after placing an order, email fern@ fernnewyork.com immediately.

  • Orders may be canceled before shipment if the RTW item has not been fulfilled or the MTO piece has not been started. Contact us via email to request cancellation.

 

Gift Options

  • You may include a gift message with your order upon request.
